This is a Playcraft (Predecessor to Aurora) 1958 original slot car race set #2 made in Great Britain. It includes 2 cars in very good condition: a red Mercedes Benz with a black and tan interior (3102) that makes noise when just tested; and a yellow Jaguar XK140 with a green and tan interior (3101) that ran well when just tested but will need new tires to run. Both cars come with their original cases that are in perfect condition. The track is what came with this set and is all there: 1 x 9 inch terminal track; 3 x 9 inch straights (3003 4); 8 x 9 inch radius curves (3001 4); 2 metal steering wheel controllers and both of their respective keys (3701); 1 box of guard rails and posts (3501); 1 bag of locks and joiners; and 1 box of trestle posts (bridge supports) (3502). It’s original box is in fair condition and can be shored up with tape on the corners. The only missing part in this set is the wires and the original instructions. It also requires an A/C transformer (12-18 volts) not included. This is a very rare collectors item in overall excellent pre-owned but little used condition.
